🗡️ DEMON LORD: JUST A BLOCK — ALL 14 WEAPONS GUIDE
This complete weapon guide covers every weapon in Demon Lord: Just a Block — from the starting Hero's Greatsword to the endgame Void Cube. We include our tier list for 2026 (post-May patch), full weapon descriptions, optimal ability synergies, and the path to unlocking every weapon for the Happy Murphy achievement.
⚙️ How the Weapon System Works
In Demon Lord: Just a Block, your weapon defines the fundamental nature of your collision attack. All 14 weapons use the same base mechanic — moving into an enemy deals damage — but each adds a layer of complexity that completely changes how you play. The Teleport Blade teleports you to the target's position, enabling gap-crossing plays. The Charge Maul demands 2-turn commitment for triple damage. The Void Cube grants phase-through invincibility on each attack.
Weapons are found or upgraded through Murphy NPC rooms, chest rooms, Demonic Pact trades, and shop purchases. You carry one weapon at a time. Upgrading through Gilding and Rainbow tiers dramatically increases a weapon's power without changing its core mechanic — making mastery of a single weapon across a run very rewarding.
The Happy Murphy achievement (0.1% completion) requires that you encounter all 14 weapons across any number of runs. The codex tracks each new weapon you pick up, even if you subsequently switch to a different one. Plan several runs targeting specific weapon pool areas to complete the full collection.

🏅 Gilding & Rainbow Upgrade Path
Every weapon in Demon Lord: Just a Block has three tiers: Base, Gilded, and Rainbow. Progression is linear — you must Gild before Rainbow-upgrading.
- Base Weapon: Found in runs as-is. Standard stats for the weapon type.
- Gilded: Enhanced stats (+3 ATK flat), unique golden visual. Unlock via Murphy NPC upgrade rooms using weapon upgrade tokens. Gilding all 14 weapons + the throne unlocks Golden Lord (0.1%).
- Rainbow: Maximum tier. Adds weapon-specific passive ability on top of Gilded stats. Example: Rainbow Void Cube reduces phase-through cooldown from every-attack to every-attack with a +3 ATK bonus on phase hits. Rainbow all 14 weapons + throne unlocks Prismatic Lord (0.1%).
To efficiently pursue Golden Lord and Prismatic Lord, focus upgrade tokens on 1–2 weapons per run rather than spreading them thinly. The Soul Farm build with Soul Scythe is the fastest way to accumulate the tokens needed for full completion.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How many weapons are in Demon Lord: Just a Block?
There are 14 unique weapons in the game. Each has a distinct attack mechanic that changes how you interact with the movement-based combat system. From the basic Hero's Greatsword to the endgame Void Cube, every weapon is viable in the right build.
What is weapon Gilding in Demon Lord: Just a Block?
Gilding is the first upgrade tier for weapons. A Gilded weapon gains enhanced base stats (typically +3 ATK and a unique visual effect). All 14 weapons can be Gilded. Gilding all weapons unlocks the Golden Lord achievement (0.1% completion rate).
What is Rainbow upgrade and how does it differ from Gilding?
Rainbow is the maximum upgrade tier, applied after Gilding. A Rainbow weapon gains maximum stat values, a unique rainbow visual, and an additional passive effect specific to that weapon. Achieving Rainbow on all 14 weapons plus the throne unlocks the Prismatic Lord achievement.
How do I unlock all 14 weapons for the Happy Murphy achievement?
The Happy Murphy achievement requires collecting all 14 weapons across any number of runs (the codex tracks weapon encounters). Most weapons appear in Murphy NPC rooms as upgrades or in special chest rooms. Void Cube only appears in the second playthrough onwards in Daevrak's Heart. Complete multiple runs across different weapon pools to ensure full collection.
Which weapon is best for beginners?
Hero's Greatsword for its reliable, no-mechanic damage. Eyeball Blaster as soon as it appears — ranged attacks fundamentally increase your safety margin. For advanced players, Teleport Blade or Void Cube are the strongest overall options.
Can I change weapons mid-run?
Yes. Murphy NPC rooms and special shop rooms offer weapon swaps. You keep only one weapon at a time (except in certain Colored Ability states), so choose swaps carefully based on your current ability deck synergy.
